Founded in March 2023, Debaters of India is a student-led, national debate organisation committed to democratising access to structured debate, mentorship, and leadership across the country. The primary aim at Debaters of India has been to provide young debaters across the country with a platform to engage with and profit from fellow student debaters.
We organise championships, conduct training workshops, and build a supportive community where young minds develop the skills to articulate ideas, challenge perspectives, and lead with conviction.

One of Debaters of India’s largest tournaments yet, the Youth Democracy Festival brought together over 300 participants, 100 teams, and 34 schools for a nationwide celebration of debate, dialogue, and youth voice.
Following online preliminary rounds across junior and senior categories, the tournament culminated in Varanasi at Sunbeam School, Lahartara. Bringing young debaters from across the country onto one platform, the festival marked a major milestone in DOI’s mission to make competitive debate accessible to students across India.
